I’ve been working on creating a new look for the flyers at Darwin’s. It’s been fun diving back into some real graphic design and dirtying up my clean designs. Oh grungy-distressed look…how I’ve missed you! Check out my stuff:

A friend of mine has been checking out my light paintings and invited me up to his workplace to use as a shooting location: a Fire Station! I had a blast and will probably return to do more shoots at a later time. I’d like to thank my friend as well as all the Firemen I got to meet while I was there.

After the photo shoot with Waller, I stuck around and shot their show for a bit before heading back to Darwin’s to shoot Seminole Jackson. I had a great time hanging out and would like to thank all the members of Waller for having me out!

Saturday I met up with Atlanta Folk band Waller! I shot them at Park Tavern a while back and they asked me to come out and get some group shots of the band. I had lots of fun hanging out backstage and getting a bit more experience at posing people!

Truett Lollis: Friday after Stoney Brooks I went to check out Truett play at Sideline’s. He had John McKnight on drums and was jamming with the opening band by the time I got there. It was great to hear Truett play a little more rock, and I loved his version of “A Simple Man”!

I’m loving Wednesdays these days, finally back in my element in a dark location with my camera and a handful of lights! I’ve missed light painting, and I’m cranking out some cool stuff these days!
All of these photos are SOOC (Straight Out Of the Camera). No Photoshop trickery or editing has been done. We used a long exposure and various sources of colored lights and techniques to achieve the effects we wanted. Keep an eye out, we’ll be doing this regularly!

Nathan Morgan: After the Breeze Kings I went to check out Nathan Morgan Trio at Nik’s Place. These guys were awesome, playing a great combination of hard rock and blues!

Atlanta Boogie: I don’t know if you know, but Mike Bourne is AWESOME! Between his skills, that sweet Silvertone he’s rockin, and Paul Diffin’s upright slap bass style, Atlanta Boogie has an incredibly unique sound! We loved having these guys out at Darwin’s! Mike Bourne will be back on Friday with Stoney Brooks, come check ’em out!

It’s been a crazy week, to see what I’ve been up to check out www.darwinsburgers.com! Last night I met up with Kamil again for some more light painting. We scouted this location out last week but didn’t actually do anything with it. We were out here for 4 hours in the cold, but we figured out some new techniques and got some awesome shots!
