11.03.2011 – This Week!
I’ve had an incredibly busy week since my last post, filled with many many great photos. Between last week’s Blues Jam, Men in Blues, and our Halloween Grand Opening I’ve posted over 2 hundred images to Darwin’s Burgers and Blues blog. I’ll pick up where I left off from there:
Monday: Jim Ransone’s acoustic set. Mondays are pretty slow everywhere, I decided to save my gas and hang out with Jim.

Tuesday: I had a blast hanging out with Little G and Michael Guy Tuesday! Buddy Guy’s nephew came by Darwin’s and hung out with us, what a treat!

I messed this picture up, the intended picture was the 4 of us clinking our Patron shots together, but I picked a poor angle and it ended up shooting Michael’s arm. This is the one I kept.

Wednesday: I started out at Darwin’s to check out a few songs from Ross Pead’s set. Afterwards I went with Lindsay to Justa Bar to check out the jam with Larry Griffin and Barry Richman. I saw a lot of familiar faces from our Darwin’s Jam, but most impressive was this 13 year old kid who played and sang! Look out Cody Matlock, you might have some competition!
We’ve been trying to perfect this Fried Cinnamon Toast idea we had. Honestly we may have been a bit hasty in throwing it on the menu, but there it stands… We’ve refined the recipe and now we are proud to present: Fried Cinnamon “Toast”. Well, it’s made of biscuit dough now rather than toast, but we wrote toast on the menu. Doesn’t matter…IT’S DELICIOUS! It tastes like a fresh doughnut!
