Thursday – We’ve had such great acts at Darwin’s lately I’ve just been hanging around and soaking it up! Thursday was Darwin’s Blues Jam, and what a night… So many great musicians came out, we had 4 female singers come in this week and they ALL sounded amazing!

Truett Lollis: We love Truett, and he will be opening for Little G at our Grand Opening on October 29th at 8pm! He was nice enough to come by the jam and play a few songs before he was whisked away to another gig at 11.

The Double Mammoth Challenge – Our first Double Mammoth Challenge participants! David Lowe and Robert Lucaks accepted the call to try and set the record to finish 2 Mammoth Burgers as fast as possible. The Mammoth is 2 1/3lb patties topped with cheese, bacon, fried jalapenos, and chili! Each burger alone weight nearly a pound! In the end, only one person could be declared winner: David Lowe setting the record at an amazing 8:01.2, that’s 8 minutes and 1.2 seconds! Congratulations Davide, let’s see how long your record stands!

Double Mammoth Challenge: We had another contender for our Double Mammoth Challenge! Jon Arnold put up a good fight, but in the end he just couldn’t topple the time. With 1 minute remaining and only a wad of bread left, Jon ended up finishing at 8:20 leaving the record of 8:01 standing in tact. It was a valiant attempt to which Jon replied, “I’ll get it next time!”
