Northside Tavern: I stuck around for their first set and headed down to Northside Tavern to go check out Heather Luttrell. Her name was mentioned to me several times as one of the great local acts around, so I got in touch with her and she was nice enough to invite me out as her photographer!
Seeing Heather perform just made me happy. A beautiful, talented southern girl covered in tattoos and jewelry, I can’t ask for a better photography subject! Heather had an incredible voice and was backed by some great musicians.

Nik’s Place: I hung out with the band for a minute between sets and had a nice chat with Ralph Luttrell before heading back up to Marietta. On my way home I decided to swing by Nik’s to see who was playing. It was none other than the great Lola Gulley backed by The Brethren! I was getting pretty tired by this point so I got my shots and headed home where I worked on a design for Darwin’s until almost 4am. Whew, that was a 20 hour day!
